Here is my second Evening Primrose dress, I love these fabrics together, Michael Miller, navy blue “Kuniko” and “Bitty dots”.

I made this outfit a bit different to the first pattern tested one, I added a invisible zipper at the back, only reason is Larissa can get into it herself , she struggles with buttons! I also did not add the ribbon detail down at the hem, gives the dress more a daytime appeal,  I also lengthened the sleeves

Larissa could not wait to take pictures of her in the dress thank goodness Wigan is having a clear spell with some sunshine today.

We got so many compliments at church it was unbelievable but then I new it would! Terra has truly created an absolute vintage and stylish dress for any girl to feel like a princess in. I am honored to have had this opportunity to Pattern test this dress.

Just remember that the pattern you can find here at http://terrastreasuresdesigns.com  and is on sale!!!

Thanks for reading, see you soon sewing Peeps.

A while ago I purchased the Lady Skater dress pattern from http://kitschy-coo.co.uk/ for my teenage daughter, it is a wonderfull pattern and flattering on any figures.

So I made the dress using the largest size, Tasha is a very Busty girl ( of course I am jealous). Scuba fabric has come out in droves at the shops so we chose this lovely red tartan, I bought it from Nortex Mill in Bolton, (they have a small online shop).

Needless to say the bodice and sleeves where a bit tight, not appreciated by me, my own fault for not measuring correctly! So Tasha ended up with this self designed Skater skirt and is happi like a chappi! With her PINK hair too, but that’s a story for another day…LOL

Evening Primrose Dress

Pattern testing.

Oh this is the second time I have been chosen  to test for Terra’s Treasures. This dress is to die for, when I first saw her picture of it I fell in love with the Empire style bodice, so when I was chosen i was delighted. The dress comes in sizes 12-24 m

and 2-14 years a must for me because Larissa my youngest is only 8 but wears size 12-14, she is not only tall but has broad shoulders, all the swimming she does! It is a easy pattern to work through Terra has great pictures and instructions!

I am currently working on my second dress, with Larissa over my shoulder, ” when will it be ready?”.

You can find the pattern here, currently on sale! http://terrastreasuresdesigns.com

Thanks for reading, see you soon Peeps.

I recently pattern tested for Marissa from Laela Jeyne Patterns, these are some serious comfortable pj’s!

The pattern is easy to follow and I had so much fun! I also love pattern testing where I can learn a new sewing skill, this was the collar, which I always shy away from. Marissa’s instructions where so precise and I waffled threw making the collar easily. Here is my teenagers pair made in a soft cream flannel. One can find the pattern at http://www.laelajeynepatterns.com    I am now off to make myself and youngest daughter some. Thanks for reading and see you later Peeps.

Now this has been a hard decision and oh so scary, investing in any craft or sewing is risky, you need to have a strong character to withstand all the criticism and believe you me I have got my fair share!

I have started to stock some Michael Miller fabrics, well they are gorgeous and soft to the touch but in little more than 2 months nothing has sold, so flop there or am I advertising in the wrong place? Maybe you lady’s have some advice?

Christmas Trees.

This year I thought I would make some inspiring Christmas trees that I had looked at on Pinterest. I booked on some Christmas markets, needless to say this was such a disappointment! Family, friends and teachers got great gifts, that’s a good thing!

A Little Lena…..

20150811_09552820150811_110530I so love this outfit, A easy pattern from Kibadoo. the Lena shirt. This was a easy sew, did almost all sewing on my overlocker, ( I have conquered my fear) I had this lovely piece of black streatch denim, i made a A line skirt . Overall I am one proud mom,the compliments we got at the Acorn farm from other moms startled me a bit,

Apologies for the short post, still so new to this blogging world.
